3 Dec 2003 - First PRC water and wastewater treatment specialist to list in Singapore
Asia Environment Holdings Ltd (ASIAENV) launched its initial public offering of 68.0 million shares comprising 6.8 million offer shares and 61.2 million placement shares at S$0.235 each for its Main Board listing on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited.
It was the first PRC water and wastewater treatment company to list in Singapore as well as the inaugural initial public offering managed, underwritten and placed by the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Singapore Branch (ICBC Bank).

JSPY Research was established with the Yixing Industrial Park and four universities - Molecular Science Research Institute of Zhejiang University, Nanjing Industrial University, the Environmental Engineering Design Institute of Nanjing Technological University and the Bio-engineering School of Jiangnan University, under the auspices of the Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Commission.
JSPY Design was awarded Grade A Certificate for Project Consultancy Qualification issued by the National Development and Reform Commission, which allowed JSPY Design to participate in projects of unlimited size and scale.
JSPY Contract was awarded Grade 1 Certificate for Contracting of Environmental Protection Projects issued by the Ministry of Construction which allowed JSPY Contract to participate in projects of unlimited size and scale. |

ASIAENV was incorporated and subsequently its wholly foreign owned enterprise, Yixing P&S was incorporated to take over the environmental protection business of the Penyao Group.
JSPY Contract received the Certificate for Environmental Protection Facilities Operation Qualification from the State Environmental Protection Administration. |

JSPY Design’s “PCASS” (Penyao Cyclic Activated Sludge System) received State Key New Product Certification from State Environmental Protection Administration and Ministry of Science and Technology of PRC. |

Yixing Gaocheng Factory was converted into a limited liability enterprise and renamed as “Yixing Penyao E.P. Co., Ltd”. Several branches were set up in Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing and Wuxi between 1995 and 1999. |

Yixing Gaocheng Factory was awarded a major project to treat 3,000 cubic metres of wastewater per day at the Shanghai Hongqiao Airport. |

Yixing Gaocheng Factory built a 1,000 sq m factory and a 2,400 sq m office building in Gaocheng City. Two more factory blocks of approximately 1,500 sq m each were set up in 1988 and 1991, respectively. |

Yixing City Construction and Environment Protection Design Research Centre was established. The centre designed and produced industrial water treatment products for boilers, heat exchange systems and industrial water cooling systems for customers in China. |
